Mumbai summers are no joke, and being here in Mulund East makes you really appreciate the few trees we have left on V B Phadake Marg. Our office is tucked away in the A2 wing of Amol Society. It is a quiet residential area for the most part, except for when the kids are playing cricket downstairs in the evenings. We’ve been here at Gavanpada for several years now. The office itself is just a regular room with some filing cabinets and a couple of ceiling fans that click when they are on high speed. Getting here from the station is a bit of a walk, but it keeps us moving. We mostly just focus on our daily tasks and try to keep things organized. There isn't any fancy lobby or a receptionist greeting people at the door. If someone comes by, they usually just knock and one of us lets them in. We use the small kitchen area to make coffee and sometimes we bring in snacks to share during the afternoon break. It's a small group of us working here. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it's not a priority right now. We are just busy with the work that comes in and making sure everything is filed where it belongs. It’s a plain, honest place to work and it suits us just fine.
