Billabong High International School

We have been here at the Ajivasan Compound on Juhu Road for a while now. Santacruz West is a busy area, you know how Mumbai is with the constant traffic and the noise, but once you walk into our gates, it feels a bit different. The staff here mostly lives nearby or commutes from other parts of the city. We spend our days managing the classes and making sure the kids have what they need. It is not always perfect, sometimes the monsoons make things a bit tricky around the compound, but we manage. People know us in this part of town because we have been sitting right here on Juhu Road for years. It is a school where things actually happen every day. We are not trying to be something we are not. We just open up in the morning, the kids arrive, and the teachers get to work. Dealing with the heat in Mumbai can be a lot, but the building stays fairly cool. Most of the folks working here have been around a long time. We have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Shops come and go on the main road, but we stay put in the same spot. It is a practical place, really. We just focus on the daily routine of keeping a school running in a big city. There is always someone at the front desk if you need to ask a question or drop something off for a student.
