Big Tirumala Medical sits in Shop No - 01 of B.D.D. Chawl No-56. Being in Worli, especially around the chawls, means things are always moving fast. We are right on G.M. Bhosle Marg, which is a busy stretch in Mumbai 400018. The shop itself is quite small, but we’ve managed to fit a lot into it over the years. You can see the old walls of the chawl surrounding us. It’s a lively neighborhood where everyone knows each other’s business. We open early and stay open until the street starts to quiet down, which isn't very often. There is usually a bit of a queue in the evenings when people come back from work. The floor is a bit worn from all the foot traffic, and the shelves go all the way up to the ceiling to save space. We use a ladder to reach the stuff on top. It’s not the most modern looking place, but it serves its purpose for the folks living in the B.D.D. Chawls. There’s always someone stopping by just to say hello or ask for directions. The air is thick with the smell of the city and the occasional scent of food from the nearby homes. It’s just a regular shop in a very busy part of Mumbai. We don't have any big marketing signs, just the name over the door and the goods on the shelves.
