Bhumi Stationers

Our shop, Bhumi Stationers, is located at Shop No 26-B, in the 18/20-Bora Bazar area of Fort. If you know the Fort area, you know how narrow and crowded the streets can be. Bora Bazar is one of those places where there is always something happening and people are always rushing past. Our shop is packed tight with everything from pencils and erasers to large ledgers and specialized office paper. There isn't much room to move around once a couple of customers come in at the same time. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and we usually need a small ladder to reach the stuff at the top. The building is old, like most things in the Fort area, and it has that classic Mumbai feel to it. We open up early in the morning and start sorting through the stock. It is a lot of manual work, carrying boxes and organizing the displays. We don't have a website or anything like that; people just know where we are and stop by when they need supplies for their offices or schools nearby. The noise from the street is constant, but we like the energy of Bora Bazar. It feels like the heart of the city. We have been in this shop for years, and we have seen the city change, but the need for a good pen or a solid notebook stays the same.
