Our workshop is at Unit No.B-128 in the Ghatkopar Industrial Estate, right off L.B.S. Marg. If you’ve ever been to Ghatkopar West, you know how hectic the industrial areas can be. It’s a lot of metal, oil, and the constant sound of machines turning. We focus on rotary manufacturing, so our space is filled with lathes and various tools that we use all day long. The air usually smells like machine oil and cut metal, which is something you just stop noticing after the first week of working here. L.B.S. Marg is always packed with traffic, so we hear the rumble of heavy trucks passing by all the time. Our unit isn't huge, but we have managed to fit everything we need into it, though it can feel a bit tight when we have a big order to finish. The floors are stained with oil and there are metal shavings in the cracks, but that’s just how a manufacturing shop looks. We wear our work clothes and don’t mind getting our hands dirty because that’s what the job requires. There’s no fancy office in the front, just a small desk where we keep the logs and take calls. We just keep our heads down and focus on the parts we are making, making sure the machines are running like they should. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do best here.
