About Bhima Calcutta Roll – Food & Beverages in Mumbai
The shop sits right near the Indian Oil bus stop over in Andheri West. If you are heading towards Ganesh Nagar or coming from the Sikh Gurudwara, you’ve probably seen us standing there. We opened Bhima Calcutta Roll because there weren’t many spots around here doing these specific types of rolls. It’s a small place, nothing fancy at all, just a counter and the stove where we cook everything. The area gets pretty noisy with all the traffic on JP Road, but that’s just how it is in Mumbai. We spend most of our day chopping onions, marinating things, and rolling out dough. It gets hot inside, especially when the orders start piling up in the evening. People usually stop by after work or when they are waiting for their bus. We don't have a big team, just a few of us working together to get the food out. Sometimes the line gets long and people have to wait, but we try to keep moving as fast as possible. We don't really do advertising or anything like that, most people just find us because they live nearby or work in the shops around here. The rolls are made fresh right in front of you. We use the same spices we’ve always used. It is just a regular local business trying to make a living in a busy part of the city. We’ve been at this address for a good bit now and know many of the regulars who stop by daily.
