Running a business out of Gala No.57 in Adarsha Market means you get used to the pace of Mumbai pretty fast. Bharat Enterpreise is tucked away in the market, and it’s always a bit of a squeeze getting through the aisles when it's busy. We’ve been here long enough that the local vendors feel like family. Most days involve a lot of lifting, moving boxes, and checking invoices. The air in the market can get a bit stuffy in the afternoons, but the ceiling fan helps a little. We deal with whatever supplies come our way and try to keep our customers happy with what we’ve got in stock. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find plush carpets or air conditioning. It’s just a concrete floor and shelves stacked high with goods. Sometimes we lose track of time because there are no windows in the gala, but the noise from the street outside tells us when it’s getting late. We handle things as they come. If a delivery is late, we wait. If a customer has a question, we answer it the best we can. It is a simple way of working, but it has kept us going all these years in 400072.
