We are situated in B-7 on the first floor of Sujal Mansion. It’s right in the middle of Bhangwadi on Kalabadevi Road, which is probably one of the most crowded and hectic parts of the city. If you have ever been to Kalabadevi, you know the narrow lanes and the constant stream of handcarts and people. Our office is tucked away in this old building, and it is usually filled with the sounds of the market outside. We deal with impex work, which means our day is a constant stream of checking weights, measures, and shipping dates. The space is small and we have to be very organized to make sure we don't lose anything in the piles of paper. It is a bit dusty and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it is our home during the work week. We know all the tea sellers and the delivery boys in the lane. There is a certain rhythm to working in such a busy area; you just get used to the noise and the heat. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. Our main focus is just getting through the daily list of tasks and making sure our clients are taken care of. It is honest, hard work in a part of Mumbai that never seems to sleep. We have been part of this community for years and wouldn't really know how to work anywhere else.
