Bhakti Kala Creation

Our shop is at number 12 in the Shri Sainath Shopping Centre. We are tucked away near the Malad Shopping Centre in Ismail Baug. Malad West is always crowded, and our little corner for Bhakti Kala Creation is no different. We deal with a lot of creative work here, mostly stuff involving fabrics and traditional designs. The space is small, so we have to be very organized, though it doesn't always look like it. There are bins full of beads and sequins all over the place. Sometimes we find a stray button weeks after we lost it under a table. The lighting in the shopping center isn't great, so we have a few extra lamps at our workstations. People coming in from the main road often look a bit stressed from the traffic, so we try to keep the atmosphere inside a bit calmer. We don't have a big sign, just our name on the glass. Usually, someone is sitting on the floor working on a piece of embroidery while others handle the customers. It’s a lot of manual labor and it can be hard on the eyes after a few hours. We’ve been in Ismail Baug long enough to know the names of the kids who play in the alleyway outside. It’s just a normal business where we put in the hours and try to make things that look decent for people.
