Bhagyashree Transport Co operates out of the Tare Compound, which is part of the Pandol Industrial Society on S V Road. If you know the Shree Krishna Hotel, we are right behind it. This is an industrial area, so it’s always loud with trucks moving and people loading things up. Our office is more like a small room where we keep the logs and the keys. It’s dusty because of the road work and the constant traffic, but that’s just the nature of the transport business. We have been here for a long time, dealing with drivers and cargo every single day. The compound is usually full of vehicles, so parking can be a real headache if you’re visiting. We don’t have any fancy receptionists or waiting lounges. You just walk in and talk to whoever is sitting at the big wooden table. We handle a lot of paperwork for the shipments going out. Most of our work happens on the phone or standing out in the yard checking the loads. It gets very hot in the afternoons under the tin roof, but we have a small fan that keeps us going. We know most of the other business owners in the society. It’s a tight space but it’s where all the coordination happens. S V Road is always a mess with traffic, but it connects us to everywhere we need to go.
