Beams Hospital

Beams Hospital is tucked away on 18th A Road in Khar West. Mumbai is always moving fast, and this neighborhood is no different. You can hear the city sounds even inside the hospital sometimes. The address is easy to find if you know the area, but the traffic on the way here can be a real headache. We have been at this spot for a good while. The lobby has some benches that have seen better days, and the lighting is that plain fluorescent kind you see everywhere. We get started early in the morning when the first patients start arriving. Some people look a bit lost when they first walk through the doors, so we tell them where to go. There is no big corporate office feel here. It is just doctors, nurses, and the rest of us trying to keep things running. Sometimes the elevator takes a minute to arrive, so we just take the stairs if we are in a hurry. We talk about our families during the breaks and drink a lot of tea to stay awake during the long shifts. It is honest work, and it gets tiring, but we come back the next day anyway. The street outside is always full of people, and we are just one of the buildings they pass by. We do not make a big fuss about things. It's just a regular part of life in Khar West Maharashtra.
