Be Bold Beauty Care & Spa is a small place located in Anand Patil Chawl, which is in Shimpoli Village. If you are in Borivali West, you probably know the BMC school nearby because the kids are always making a noise during their break time. Mumbai is a very crowded city, and our shop is no different. It is just a few rooms where we have set up some beds for spa work and chairs for hair. We get a lot of humidity here, so people are always coming in to get their hair washed or to just sit in the fan for a bit. We keep the door open most of the time to let the air move through. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but they are fine for now. We have some local ladies who come every month for their regular work. We know their names and their kids' names too. It is more like a neighborhood meeting spot than a big business. Sometimes we stay open a bit late if someone is coming back from the railway station and needs something done. There is no manager in a suit here, just us in our aprons. We do the cleaning ourselves at night before heading home. It is honest work and it keeps us busy. The street outside is always full of scooters and people walking to the market, which we watch through the window when we have a free moment.
