Ariza Collection

We are up on the first floor of Hinda Cottage, which is Room No. 3 in the Sea Side Apartments. It’s right behind the Shia Masjid and next to the Bandra area. Being in Bandra means it’s always noisy outside with the cars and people, but inside Ariza Collection, it’s a bit more manageable. The room is small and we’ve got clothes hanging everywhere. You have to walk up the stairs and it’s a bit narrow, so carrying big bags up and down is always a bit of a challenge. We spend most of our time sorting through the new stock that comes in. The sea air from the apartments nearby makes things feel a bit damp sometimes, but you get used to it living in Mumbai. We don't have a big sign out front, just the room number. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a friend. We keep the fans going all day because that 1st floor room gets stuffy. It's just a regular place where we sell what we have. We aren't trying to be anything fancy, just a local spot in a busy neighborhood. Sometimes the masjid bells or the calls for prayer are the only way we know what time it is. We stay late most nights just to finish up the billing and clear the floor.
