Basu Engineering Works

We've been at M Sibli Marg 93 for quite some time now. It’s mostly just us working on machines and parts every day. Some days are loud with the metal cutting and the lathes running, but that's how it goes in a workshop. Basu Engineering Works isn't a fancy place. We have grease on the floor and tools everywhere, but we know where everything is. People come by when they have something broken or need a specific part made. Usually, it's just a lot of measuring and double-checking the work before we hand it over. Sometimes the machines act up or the power cuts, and we just wait it out or fix what we can. It’s honest work. The neighborhood knows us. We don't have a big office or anything like that, just the shop floor and the benches where we sit for lunch. Most of the guys here have been doing this for years, so we don't need much instruction anymore. We just get the jobs done as they come in. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer, but the fans help a bit. If you walk down M Sibli Marg, you’ll probably hear us before you see the sign. It’s a busy street but we stay focused on the metal. There is always something to weld or grind. It’s just how we spend our days here at number 93. Most of our tools are old but they still work fine for what we need.
