Babulal & Bros.

Babulal & Bros. is a name you’ll see if you walk down Nagdevi Cross Lane to number 26. We’ve been here for years, through all sorts of weather and changes in the street. It’s a family thing, passed down, and we take that seriously even if we don't talk about it much. The shop is filled with all kinds of stuff, and sometimes it feels like we’re running out of room. We spend a lot of time moving boxes around to reach the things in the back. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. Nagdevi Cross Lane is always humming with activity, which we like. There’s always someone stopping by for a chat or looking for something specific they can’t find elsewhere. We don’t have a website or any of that new stuff; we just rely on people knowing where we are. Usually, the door is open unless it’s really raining hard. My brother and I handle most of the daily tasks ourselves. We try to keep things simple and honest. If we have it, we’ll tell you. If we don’t, we might know who does. It’s just how we’ve always done things here. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but the work comes first. We just hope to stay here for another twenty years doing the same thing.
