B D Transport Co is based in Masjid Bunder West. We are on the 2nd floor of the Ashirwad Building, which is located in Iiyas Nagar right on the 100 Feet Ring Road. Our office numbers are 210 and 211. Being near the Ring Road means there is a constant stream of trucks and heavy vehicles passing by. The noise is something you just get used to after a week. The building itself is quite busy with different businesses. We have a lot of maps on the walls and some old calendars that haven't been changed in a while. There are stacks of delivery notes and logbooks on almost every flat surface. Ashirwad Building has a busy staircase where you are always bumping into someone carrying a parcel. Our office has a heavy metal door that makes a loud creak when you open it. We spend most of our time on the phone or talking to drivers who come in to pick up their paperwork. The chai guy comes around every two hours, and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon. It is a dusty, gritty kind of environment, but it suits what we do. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting lounge. You just walk in and find someone at a desk. The view from the second floor is just more buildings and the busy road below with all the traffic.
