Our business is located right at the entrance of Kailash Parbat Society in Santacruz East. We are in shop number 1, which faces Puna Road. It has been a family-run place for many years now. My father started it and now we carry on the work. We deal with various items that people in the society and the surrounding area might need. Being on Puna Road means there is a lot of noise and dust from the traffic, but you get used to it after a while. The shop is a bit old-fashioned and we don't really bother with fancy displays or lighting. We prefer to just keep things where we can find them. Sometimes it takes a minute to locate a specific item if it is tucked behind something else on the shelves. Santacruz is a busy part of the city and we are glad to be right here where the action is. We have a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us for decades. It is more about the relationships we have built with the neighbors than anything else. We don't spend money on advertising because word of mouth has always been enough for us. If you walk past Kailash Parbat Society, you will probably see one of us sitting at the counter or moving boxes around. It is just a regular life and we are happy to keep the shop going as long as we can.
