Avis India is situated on L.B.S Road MG 9th Cross Road Borivali East. This part of Borivali East is always humming with activity, especially being right on L.B.S Road. Our space is mostly about the cars and the keys. There’s a small front desk where we keep the logs and a few pens that always seem to go missing. The walls are mostly bare, maybe a map or two pinned up. We spend a lot of time checking engines and making sure the interiors are wiped down. The 9th Cross Road can get pretty cramped with parking, so moving the vehicles around is like a game of Tetris every morning. We get people coming in from all over, some in a hurry and others just taking their time. The air smells a bit like exhaust and cleaning fluid most of the day. We have a small bench outside where the staff takes breaks and watches the traffic go by on MG Road. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t have fancy waiting lounges or anything like that. You come in, get the paperwork sorted, and get on your way. The sun beats down on the lot in the afternoon, making the car hoods hot to the touch. It’s just a regular day-to-day business where we keep things moving as best as we can despite the Borivali traffic.
