Avi Chemical Industries

Avi Chemical Industries is located over in Vile Parle East, right on the second floor of B Wing in Flat Number 202. It is a bit of a strange spot for a chemical business because it feels more like a residential building than a big factory or a corporate office. You have to walk up the stairs and find the door, which stays closed mostly because of the air conditioning. Inside, we have a few desks and some filing cabinets that are overflowing with papers and old receipts. There are samples of things sitting on the shelves in small jars, and the smell of the office is just paper and a bit of floor cleaner. We do not have a big lobby or a receptionist greeting people at the door. It is usually just a couple of us sitting here handling the phone calls and checking on orders that need to go out. The building itself is older, and you can hear the neighbors occasionally. Vile Parle is a busy area, so there is always a lot of traffic sounds coming through the windows. We spend a lot of our time looking at spreadsheets and talking to suppliers on the mobile. It is a tight space, and we have to move boxes around sometimes just to get to the back of the room. It is just a practical place where we get the daily work done without much of a show.
