Auto Bombay

Down on Bannerghatta Road in Borivali West, you will find our little auto shop. We have the number 6 spot on the road. It is mostly just a garage where we tinker with cars and fix whatever happens to be broken that day. We deal with engines, brakes, and whatever else comes through the door. The floor is usually stained with oil and grease, which is pretty much expected when you work on cars for a living. I have lived around this area my whole life, so I know a lot of the folks who bring their vehicles in for us to look at. We do not use any high-tech gadgets or fancy computers if we can avoid it. A good wrench and some patience usually do the trick for most problems. Sometimes we have to wait a couple of days for a specific part to arrive by truck, which can be annoying for the customer, but we try to be honest about how long it will take. It is just a few of us working here in the garage. We usually have the radio playing some music while we work on the engines. It is a bit cramped inside with all the tools and spare parts lying around everywhere. People come to us because we are right there on the main road and easy to find. We just do the repairs and get people moving again. It’s steady work and keeps us busy from morning to night. No frills here.
