Aura Nail Bar And Salon is tucked away in Sector 7 over in Kharghar. We are in shop number 9 at Arm Arcade. It’s easy to find if you look for the Punjab National Bank or Ashwini Clinic, we are right in that same area. Working here is mostly about sitting and doing nails all day, which can be tiring on the back but it’s what we do. The area is usually busy with people going to the clinic or the bank. Navi Mumbai has its own pace, a bit slower than the main city but still moves. The shop has its regulars who stop by after their grocery shopping. Sometimes the fans make a little noise but we don’t really mind. We have a few chairs for the hair stuff too. It’s not like those huge malls where everything is shiny and cold. Here, it’s just us. We talk to the people from the other shops during lunch. Sometimes the power goes out for a minute and we just wait it out. It’s a practical space. We keep the nail polishes lined up on the wall and try to keep things organized, though it gets a bit chaotic on Saturdays. Kharghar is growing so much, so there are always new faces coming in wondering where the bank went or looking for a quick trim. It’s a decent spot to spend the day and watch the world go by.
