We are based at 321 Nanubhai Desai Road, right by the Dhobi Ghat area. The office is inside the Ram Kumud Villa building. It’s a busy neighborhood, and you can always hear the sounds of the city coming through the windows. We deal with transport, which means we spend a lot of time talking to truck drivers and checking manifests. The building is a bit old, and our office is filled with ledgers and stacks of delivery notes. It’s not the kind of place with fancy carpets; it’s more about metal filing cabinets and heavy wooden desks. Outside, the road is often crowded with vehicles, which makes loading a bit of a challenge sometimes. We have a small team here who keeps track of where the goods are and when they’re supposed to arrive. It’s a lot of coordination and shouting over the noise of the traffic. Sometimes things get delayed because of a breakdown or a closed road, and then we have to spend hours sorting it out on the phone. We’ve been in this location for many years, and we know the area well. It’s a straightforward business of moving things from point A to point B. We just focus on getting the work done every day without making a big deal out of it. It is just steady work in a noisy part of Mumbai.
