Our office for Associate Holdings is located at 58/60 Dr. Mascarenhas Road, right in the heart of Mustafa Bazar. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s loud, crowded, and always smells like a mix of spices and exhaust. The building itself has been here for a long time, and our rooms are filled with old wooden desks and stacks of folders that seem to grow every week. We don't have any of those modern open-plan layouts. It’s more of a labyrinth of hallways and small doors. We spend our mornings going through documents and taking calls from people all over the city. The windows stay shut most of the time to keep the dust and the noise out, but you can still hear the vendors shouting in the street below. We have a small balcony where we sometimes stand just to get a bit of air, though it’s mostly just looking at the tops of buses. It’s a very practical environment. There are no paintings on the walls or fancy coffee machines. We just have a water cooler and a lot of pens that always seem to go missing. Working in Mustafa Bazar means you have to be okay with a bit of chaos. We’ve grown used to the pace of it, and the office feels like a quiet island in the middle of all that energy.
