Assam Transport

We are based at the Wadala Truck Terminal, specifically at B-1. It’s a huge area filled with trucks coming and going at all hours. Our spot is near the Leela Sagar on Yari Road. If you’ve ever been to the terminal, you know it’s a world of its own with drivers, mechanics, and loaders everywhere. We handle transport, mostly moving goods across long distances. The name says Assam, but we deal with all sorts of routes. It’s a dusty place and there is always the smell of diesel in the air. We spend a lot of time on the phone tracking where the trucks are and talking to the drivers. It’s not an office job where you sit in the AC all day. We are out there on the loading docks a lot. We started this because we knew the roads and we knew the trucks. There’s no corporate hierarchy here. We just have the guys who drive and the guys who manage the schedules. It’s a tough business because things like weather and traffic always mess with your plans. We just try to keep the trucks moving and the goods safe. It’s what we’ve been doing for years from this Wadala office. It's simple, practical work that keeps the country running. Sometimes the rain slows everything down but we just wait it out and get back to the work as soon as we can.
