Lower Parel has changed so much over the years, with all the new malls and tall buildings, but the Pragati Industrial Estate on N. M. Joshi Marg still feels like the old version of the city. We are located at number 338, and it’s a place that smells like metal and old dust. Asian Containers has been part of this landscape for quite a while now. The estate is always bustling with workers and small delivery vehicles trying to squeeze through the narrow lanes. Our space is crowded with containers of all shapes and sizes, which makes it a bit hard to move around sometimes. We don't have a fancy lobby or air-conditioned waiting rooms. It’s just a practical workshop and storage area where we spend our days. The noise from the street is constant, but you stop noticing it after the first hour. Most of the guys here have been with us for a long time and know exactly where everything is kept, even if it looks like a mess to an outsider. We aren't interested in making a big splash with marketing or fancy branding. We just focus on the containers and making sure they are sturdy enough for whatever they’re being used for. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us grounded in a part of Mumbai that is moving faster every single day. We just take it one order at a time and keep moving.
