If you find yourself at 99, Vithalwadi, you will probably hear us before you see us. Amijay Labels Pvt. Ltd. is tucked into a busy part of the neighborhood where things are always moving. We have been working with labels for quite a long time. The space is full of these giant rolls of adhesive paper and different types of inks that we mix by hand. It is a bit of a maze inside because we have to use every bit of space we have. Vithalwadi is a crowded area, so getting deliveries in and out is always a bit of a challenge. We have to time it just right or the trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes. Inside, it is a bit cooler but still noisy with the presses running constantly. We don't have any fancy posters or marketing materials on the walls. Most of what you see are just notes scribbled on the margins of old calendars about order numbers and deadlines. The guys working the machines know exactly how they sound when something is about to go wrong. It’s that kind of place where you learn by doing. We aren't a big corporate firm with meetings and reports. We just look at the orders, set the plates, and run the jobs. When the sun goes down, the street stays busy, and we are usually still inside finishing up the last few thousand labels for the day.
