Ashwin Liladhar & Associates

Our office, Ashwin Liladhar & Associates, is situated at 4-A, Prem Kutir. It’s an older style of building on Babubhai Chinai Road, right at number 177. The name Prem Kutir has a nice, old-fashioned ring to it, and the building itself is quite traditional for this area. Working here feels different than being in one of those modern glass and steel buildings. The rooms have high ceilings and there is a lot of old wooden furniture that has been around for years. We have stacks of files and folders almost everywhere you look. That is just the nature of the legal and associate work we handle every day. It’s a relatively small firm, so the atmosphere in the office is pretty relaxed and informal. We don't usually wear full suits unless there is a very specific reason to do so for a meeting. Most days, it’s just us sitting at our desks, going through thick piles of papers and talking to clients on the telephone. Sometimes people just drop by the office without having an appointment, and we usually try to fit them in if we can. We still use a lot of pens and physical paper, even though we have computers on every desk. The road outside can be quite loud with traffic, but once you step inside Prem Kutir, it feels a little more secluded and quiet. We usually have a short lunch break.
