Ashtavinayak Jewellers

We've been here in Goregaon West for quite a while now. The shop is in the Resham Building, right at 101. It's not too hard to find if you know the Sanjay Nagar area or Gama Estate. Actually, we are just behind where the Chaya Chana Soap place is. People usually stop by when they are heading toward the station or just walking through the neighborhood. We handle a lot of the usual jewelry work that people need. Sometimes someone comes in for a repair, or they want to look at something specific for a family wedding. It gets busy on weekends, but that is how it goes. The shop isn't huge, but we keep things organized. My father started things out, and now we just keep the doors open every morning. We see the same faces often, which is nice. Usually, we are behind the counter most of the day, dealing with small repairs or showing pieces to neighbors. Goregaon is always noisy outside, but inside the shop, it's a bit quieter. If you are near the station and see the Resham building, that is us. We don't do much fancy advertising, just mostly people from the area coming in because they know where we are. It’s a simple setup, really. Sometimes people come in to ask for directions because we are such a visible landmark near the soap factory area. We try to be fair with everyone and just do the work that needs doing. It’s been our spot for years and we don’t plan on going anywhere.
