Ashok Engineering Works

You can find us at Gala-4 in Chawl 40-D, inside the Narayan Dosa Compound near Jacob Circle on KK Marg. It’s one of those old-school Mumbai locations where space is tight and everyone knows their neighbors. Ashok Engineering Works has been tucked away in this gala for many years. We do a lot of metalwork and machining for folks who need specific parts made or repaired. The shop is small, and there is always the sound of grinding or hammering coming from inside. We have some old machines that still work better than the new ones you see today. It’s a gritty, oily place, but it’s where we feel most at home. We don't have a website or any social media pages. People usually find us because they’ve been coming here for decades or their father told them about us. We don't use any fancy management techniques. We just look at the job, give a price, and get to work. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little bit during the monsoon, but we just move the machines and keep on going. It’s a tough way to make a living, but we take pride in being able to fix things that other shops won't touch. We’re just local guys doing what we’ve always done right here in the compound, making sure the job gets done right. It's what we know and what we do every day.
