If you are looking for Ashfaque Motor Parts, we are located in the Mint Haroon Compound on CST Road in Kurla West. It’s one of those places that’s a bit hard to find if you aren’t looking for it, tucked away among other workshops and small businesses. The compound is always buzzing with the sound of engines and people shouting to be heard over the traffic on CST Road. Inside our shop, it smells like old metal and oil, which is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We have shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling, packed with different motor parts for various types of vehicles. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front door during the monsoon season, so we have to move the cardboard boxes back. Kurla is a tough place to get around because of all the trucks, but it’s where all the heavy motor work happens in this part of town. We usually spend the morning hours organizing the stock that came in the night before. It’s a lot of heavy lifting sometimes, and the floor is never really clean no matter how often we sweep the dust away. We have a small wooden desk where we keep the bills and a landline phone that rings more than it probably should. We aren't trying to be anything big, just a local shop in the compound helping people get their motors running again. That’s just how things are here.
