Our place is in Kurla East, right near the Sion Depot. If you know that area, you know it’s always packed with buses and people moving between the different neighborhoods. We are tucked away near the depot where there is always a lot of activity. It’s a bit of a rough-and-ready spot, which suits an auto service place like ours. There’s usually grease on the floor and the sound of tools clanking. We don’t have a fancy showroom or a clean lounge for people to wait in. Most folks just stand around or find a spot nearby while we look at their machines. The air is thick with the smell of oil and exhaust from the depot. It is just the way things are around here. We’ve been in this part of Kurla East for a good while. The work is steady, and the location is convenient because so many vehicles pass through Sion. We don’t do much advertising; people just find us because we’re right there by the depot. It gets pretty hot during the summer, working under the tin roof, but we just keep at it. Sometimes we have tea from the stall across the way. It’s a simple, hardworking life in a busy corner of the city. We keep a few old spare parts in the corner just in case they are needed. It is a messy job and our hands are always dirty.
