Arun Engineering

You can find us at Arun Engineering over in the Bharath Compound at Safed Pool. It’s a typical industrial area, so there is always some noise from the neighboring shops. Our space is filled with heavy machinery and bits of metal. It’s not a place where you’d want to wear your best clothes because you’re likely to get oil or grease on them within five minutes. We’ve been at this location for a good while, and we’ve seen the compound change over the years. The work we do is mostly about fixing parts or making new ones based on whatever the customer brings in. Sometimes they bring in a piece of metal that’s so worn down you can barely tell what it used to be. We just do our best with the tools we have. It’s a very hands-on job and we don’t spend much time sitting at a desk. The ventilation isn't the best, so it gets quite warm when the machines have been running for a few hours. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things lively. Safed Pool is a busy hub for engineering work, and we are just one of many small shops trying to get the jobs done. There’s no corporate ladder here, just me and the guys working on the floor every day. We just take one job at a time and try to finish it by the weekend so we can start fresh on Monday.
