Artek Surfing Chemical Ltd. is based out of Jogeshwari East in Mumbai. To be exact, we are at 9/15, Jadhav Chawl in the Shyamnagar area. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy it gets around here. It’s a tight space, but we make it work for us. The chawl has a lot of history and there’s always something happening right outside the door. Being in the 400060 pin code area keeps us right in the thick of things. It’s not a shiny glass building. It’s a real place with real people working hard. We handle chemical stuff from this small office. Sometimes it feels like we’re bursting at the seams with files and equipment, but we know where everything is. The noise from the street is just part of the background now. We’ve been in Shyamnagar for a while and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. It’s a humble setup, but it’s ours. We don’t spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders. We’re more interested in getting the orders right and keeping the business running. Jadhav Chawl is easy enough to find if you’re familiar with the Jogeshwari side of town. We just get on with it every morning. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have a lot of stock coming in, but we manage. That’s just life in Mumbai for a small company like ours. We’re just regular folks doing our jobs.
