Our office is at Plot 121 in the Marol Co-Op Industrial Estate. If you’ve ever been to Marol in Andheri East, you know the traffic can be a real headache. We’re surrounded by other small factories and warehouses. It’s an old industrial area, so the buildings have that worn-in look. We deal with surface chemicals, so there’s often a faint smell of something industrial in the air. The space is divided between the office desks and the storage area. It’s not a place for suits. We’re usually in practical clothes, moving boxes or checking labels. The humidity in Mumbai doesn't help much, so the fans are always going full blast. We get a lot of deliveries coming in from the port, and then we send things out to the local shops or bigger plants. It’s a lot of coordination. The guys who work here have been around for years, so we know how to handle the chaotic delivery schedules. We don't have a fancy reception area. You just walk in and someone will help you. It’s about getting the chemicals to the people who need them for plating or cleaning. The estate is busy from sunrise to sunset, and we just fit right into that cycle. Sometimes the rain floods the street a bit, but we just keep the shutters down and keep working through it. We aren't trying to be anything other than a steady supplier in a busy part of town.
