Art Approach Gallery

If you walk along Hill Road in Bandra West, you will find us on the second floor of the Pushpak66 building. It is a busy area with a lot of shops and people always walking by outside. Up here on the second floor it is a bit quieter though you can still hear the traffic and the occasional shouting from the street. The gallery is basically a few rooms with white walls where we hang up different paintings and pieces that come in. We spend a lot of time moving things around to see how they look in different light. The floor is hard and we spend a lot of the day on our feet talking to people who come up to see the art. We have some tools for framing in the back room and there is usually a faint smell of wood or glue hanging around. It is not a very big space but we try to use every wall we have. Sometimes the light from the windows is really bright in the morning and we have to adjust the curtains to keep the glare off the glass. We keep a desk near the entrance where we sit when things are slow. We do a lot of unpacking when new crates arrive and that usually leaves bits of bubble wrap and cardboard on the floor for a while. It is a straightforward place for people to look at art without any pressure. We just manage the space and paintings.
