We've been at B 17 in Chimpada for quite some time now. Dealing with transmissions isn't the cleanest job, but it's what we do here in Marol Naka. The shop is right in the middle of Andheri Kurla. Most days, we are busy with gearboxes and fixing things that people bring in from all over Mumbai. It gets noisy with all the tools going, but that's just how a workshop is. We don't really have a fancy office or anything like that. It’s mostly just grease and heavy metal parts laying around. People know where to find us because we’ve stayed in this same spot in Andheri East for years. Sometimes the traffic outside is a nightmare, especially near the Naka, but we still show up and get to work. It’s a straightforward business. We fix what's broken and try to keep things moving. My hands are usually covered in oil by ten in the morning. That is just the way it goes when you work with machinery. The guys here have been doing this for a long time. We don't spend money on big signs or anything. If you come by, you’ll see us working on something on the floor or at the bench. It’s a lot of manual labor, really. We just focus on the transmissions. Nothing more to it than that. If a car or a truck has gear issues, it ends up here. We try to be fair and just do the work as it comes in.
