Arpita Fashion Hand Working

Arpita Fashion Hand Working is located at number 5 in Andheri East. It is a small space, but we do a lot of work inside those walls. We mainly focus on handwork, which means there is a lot of sitting and focusing on small details for hours at a time. The lighting has to be just right, so we have extra lamps everywhere. It is not a big factory. It is more of a workshop where you can hear the sound of needles and people talking quietly while they work. We stay pretty busy because this kind of work takes a long time to do properly. Andheri East is always crowded, so there is a lot of noise from the street outside, but once you step inside, it feels a bit different. We have rolls of fabric and threads of every color you can imagine sitting on the shelves. It’s not a very organized place, to be honest. We know where everything is, even if it looks like a pile of mess to someone else. We don't have a website or any big advertisements. Most people just find us because they live nearby or someone told them about us. We just keep our heads down and do the work day after day. It’s a simple life but it keeps us busy and we like the community around here. There is always a pot of tea going and some scrap fabric on the floor, but that is just how we operate.
