Thakur Village is a busy part of Kandivali East, and that’s where you’ll find us. Our shop is number 32 in the Gakul Nagri building. We’re right next to the Hatway Cable office, which is a good way to tell people where to go. Arif and Khushi run the place together. It’s a mix of a beauty salon and a place where we teach people the skills they need to work in this industry. We’ve got students coming in at different times, so there’s always someone learning how to do a facial or a haircut. It makes the atmosphere quite lively. We aren't part of some big franchise; it’s just our own thing that we’ve built up over time. People in Thakur Village are busy, so we try to be quick but not rushed. We do all sorts of things—threading, waxing, hair styling, and skin treatments. The shop is cozy, maybe a bit cramped when it’s raining outside and everyone wants to come in at once, but we make it work. We don't have any scripted speeches for when you walk in. We just say hello and get to work. It’s a local business through and through. We use products that we know work well, not just because they’re expensive or famous. We just want people to leave feeling a bit better than when they walked in. That’s the whole point of having a shop like this.
