We are located at No.187 on Dr. Dadasaheb Badkamkar Road, right across from where the Minerva Cinema used to be. This part of Mumbai is always moving and the noise from the street never really stops. Argo Transoformers Co. Pvt.Ltd. has been based here for many years. It is a tight space, as is common in this area, but we make the most of every square inch. We have transformers in various stages of being built or repaired stacked up in the corners. The walls are lined with old shelves that hold all kinds of copper wire and insulation materials. It is a bit of a maze inside, but we know where everything is. Working so close to the main road means we see a lot of people passing by every day. The monsoon season is always a challenge with the dampness, but we have our ways of keeping the equipment dry. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. People who need us usually know exactly where to find us. The fans hum all day long to keep the air from getting too heavy. We have a small table in the back where we eat our lunch and talk about the news or the cricket scores. It is hard work, especially with the heavy lifting, but we are a tough crew and we have been doing this long enough to know the ropes.
