We operate Arch Impex Pvt.Ltd. out of Amber Apartments on 10th Road in the Juhu Scheme. It is a bit different from your usual office building because it is a residential area, so it stays a bit quieter until the phones start ringing in the morning. We handle a lot of import and export work, which means a lot of paperwork and a lot of checking on where the shipments are. The office is basically a room full of desks, computers, and folders. We do not have a fancy lobby or any of those corporate decorations. Most of the time, we are busy talking to people in different time zones, so someone is always on a call. It is a small team here, and we all know each other’s business. Sometimes the courier guys come in three or four times a day, and the stacks of documents just keep growing on our desks. We drink a lot of coffee to stay awake during the late-night calls when things are moving across the ocean. Juhu is a nice place to work, even if the traffic on the main road can be a total nightmare during the rains. We do not have a big corporate structure; it is just us trying to make sure the cargo gets where it needs to go without too much trouble. Sometimes things go wrong with the shipping, and we have to spend the whole day fixing it, but that is the job.
