You can find us at Tripathi Sadan, which is right on S.V. Road in Jogeshwari West. Being on S.V. Road means it’s never quiet. There is a constant stream of traffic and people walking past the building. Our office is at number 6. It’s a modest space, the kind where you have to be careful not to trip over a box if we’ve just had a delivery. We’ve been here in Jogeshwari for years. The building is one of those classic old structures that has seen better days, but it has character. We handle all our chemical trade from here. It’s mostly phone calls, writing out invoices, and dealing with the occasional visitor who drops in without calling first. Sometimes the monsoon rain leaks a little near the window, so we have to move the files around. It’s just part of being in an old place like this. We don’t really go for anything flashy. Our desks are old wood and the chairs have been fixed a few times. Most of our day is spent coordinating between the manufacturers and the people who need the chemicals. It can be a bit stressful when a shipment is delayed, but we usually sort it out over a cup of chai. It’s a local business through and through. We know the shopkeepers nearby and they know us. It’s just how things are on this side of town.
