Operating out of Zaveri Bazar means you are always in the middle of a lot of noise and people moving around. It is the heart of the trade here and we have our spot where we handle the export side of things. Most of our day is spent dealing with boxes and paperwork. We aren't really the type of place where people come to browse a display. It is more about the logistics of moving things from one place to another. The streets outside are narrow and usually crowded with carts and motorcycles. Sometimes it takes forever just to get a delivery truck close to the door. We have a small team here and everyone knows their job. Some people have been with us for a long time. We drink a lot of tea while we work because the days can get pretty long. The building is older like most things in this part of town. We just focus on getting the orders ready and making sure the counts are right. It gets hot in the afternoons but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving. You see the same faces every day in the market and everyone is just trying to get their work done before the sun goes down. It is a bit chaotic but that is just how Zaveri Bazar is. We don’t mind it much anymore.
