Antique Cement Product

We've been here at Shaikh Sumaru Chowk for quite a long time now. It’s a busy spot in Dahisar East, especially when the morning rush starts and everyone is heading to work. Our place, Antique Cement Product, is tucked away just behind the Gulfam Hotel. If you know the area, you know how it gets with the traffic and the noise, but we like it here. Most days involve a lot of heavy lifting and moving bags around. There is always a layer of fine grey dust on the desk and the floor, no matter how much we sweep it up. It’s just part of the job when you deal with cement. We don't have a big team or fancy office chairs. It is mostly just us handling orders and making sure the piles are organized so we can find things quickly. You can hear the kitchen staff at the hotel starting their work early, and that’s usually when we open up the shutters too. People from the neighborhood stop by to ask about different cement items they need for small repairs or bigger projects. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with brochures or big promises. We just tell people what we have in the shed and how much it costs. It is a very straightforward way to run a business. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoons, so we usually sit back a bit further inside where it’s cooler.
