Anoop Crockery Store

If you walk down towards Kurla West and look opposite the Sansar Hotel, you will see us. We are in Shop No 5 at S S Hussain Chawl. Anoop Crockery Store has been here for a while now. The shop is quite packed with boxes and stacks of plates and cups. Sometimes it is hard to move around without bumping into a pile of something. We sell things people need for their kitchens every day. It gets a bit dusty because the road outside is always busy with cars and rickshaws, so we spend a good amount of time just wiping things down. Most of our customers are from around here, people who just need a new set of bowls or maybe a glass that broke at home. We don't have a big sign or anything fancy like that. Just the name on the front and shelves full of stuff. Usually, there is a bit of a rush in the evening when people are going home from work. Dealing with breakable things means we have to be careful when moving boxes around. I spend most of my day sitting near the entrance waiting for the next person to walk in. We know most of the people who come here by their faces. It is a small shop but it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. Mumbai is a fast city but things feel a bit slower inside here. We just keep the shelves stocked for the neighborhood.
