Ankur Electronics

At Ankur Electronics, we’ve been stationed on MG Road in Chembur for quite a while. The shop is filled with various gadgets, old and new, and there’s usually a radio playing in the background. Chembur is a busy place, and MG Road is right in the thick of it. We spend our time repairing televisions, radios, and other home electronics that people bring in. The shelves are stacked with spare parts that we’ve collected over the years. Some of them are covered in a thin layer of dust because nobody uses those models anymore, but you never know when you’ll need a specific part. Our spot in 41282 is easy to get to, though parking on MG Road is always a nightmare. We aren’t interested in being the biggest shop in town. We just want to do the work and go home. Some days are slow, and we just sit and watch the traffic go by. Other days, we have more work than we can handle. We don’t use any high-tech systems to track our stuff; it’s all in our heads or written in a book. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We’ve seen kids grow up and bring their own kids into the shop. Being a part of the Chembur community like this is just how it is for us. We have an old clock on the wall that hasn't worked in years, but we keep it there anyway. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front door during the monsoon, so we have to keep a bucket there. It's just a small shop with a lot of history. 41282 is home.
