Ankur Arts

Ankur Arts is tucked away in the Gordhandas Building in Ghatkopar East. We are in unit number 2. It’s a busy part of the neighborhood with a lot of shops nearby. Our workspace is filled with all sorts of materials like paper, boards, and different kinds of inks. It can get a bit crowded when we have several projects happening at the same time. The walls are mostly covered with samples of things we have made over the years. We have some heavy machinery for cutting and printing that makes a fair bit of noise when it’s running. The lighting in the building isn't the best, so we have a lot of extra lamps at our workstations. We don't have a big reception desk or a salesperson. Usually, it's just one of us looking up from what we are doing to see who walked in. People come to us when they need something made or designed for their own small businesses or personal use. We have been in Ghatkopar East for a long time and the building itself has seen a lot of history. The floor is old wood and it creaks a bit when you walk on certain spots. We just focus on getting the work done right and on time. It is a simple life of making things with our hands and seeing the final result. We keep a stack of old posters in the corner that we never got around to throwing away.
