Sion is one of those places in Mumbai that never really sleeps. We are located on the third floor of Omkar Esquare, right on Tatya Tope Marg in Joglekarwadi. Being near the Sion Fish Market means there is always a lot of activity and different smells in the air. We work on hydroponic technologies, which is basically growing plants without soil. It is pretty modern stuff for an old area like Sion East. Our office at 3A is where we figure out the technical side of things. It is a small space filled with some equipment and lots of notes. We spend a lot of time trying to explain how these systems work to people who stop by. The building is right in the middle of the bustle. Sometimes the noise from the market is quite loud, but we are used to it by now. We are just a small team of people interested in new ways of farming. It is not like we have a big farm ourselves here; we do the technology part. We handle the setups and the planning from this Mumbai City office. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If the bell rings, one of us just gets up to see who it is. It is a very practical way to run a business.
