Anil Products Ltd

Anil Products Ltd is a small place tucked away in Vile Parle East, Sector 19. The shop is at No 3 in the Sami Karan building, right on Sant Jan. It’s a corner of the neighborhood that gets a lot of foot traffic from people living in the nearby apartments. We keep the shop open pretty late most nights because that’s when people realize they forgot something and run over. The shelves are packed with all kinds of stuff, and it’s a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. I usually know exactly where everything is, but sometimes we move things around and even I get confused for a second. We have a small television in the corner that’s usually on the news, though nobody really watches it closely. It’s just background noise for when the shop is quiet. The front door has a bell that rings every time someone walks in, which helps if I’m in the back room counting the new stock. We don't do any big advertising or have a social media page. Most people know us just from walking past or because their parents used to shop here too. It’s a simple way to make a living and we like being part of the local scene. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little bit under the front door during the monsoon, so we keep a bucket and a mop handy. It’s just a regular local shop.
