Anil Auto Electric Repairing

If you’re down near the New Ferry area in Malad East, you might have seen Anil Auto Electric Repairing. We are at 95, Malet Bunder Road. It’s an interesting spot because of the proximity to the water and the ferry. There’s a lot of activity with boats and transport, but we focus on the electrical side of autos. Wires, batteries, alternators—that’s our world. It can get pretty confusing with all the different colored wires in modern cars, but we’ve seen enough of them to know our way around. The salt air from the bunder sometimes makes things rust faster, so we see a lot of that. The shop isn’t much to look at, just a garage with a lot of tools and testing equipment. We don’t wear suits and we don’t have a receptionist. You just walk in and tell us what’s sparking or what won’t start. We like the Malet Bunder area because it feels like real work is happening all the time. Sometimes we have to work outside if the car is too big to fit inside comfortably. It’s hot work in the summer, but we get by with a couple of fans. We just take it one car at a time and try to get the lights back on for people. That’s about all there is to it. We don't make promises we can't keep, we just do the repairing as best as we can.
