Aneesha Salon

I've been running Aneesha Salon here on Warden Road for a while now. The shop is at 100-A/A. Most days it’s just me and the girls working away. We see a lot of the same faces from around the neighborhood. It’s a busy street but inside it stays pretty calm. People come in to get their hair done or just a quick trim before their day starts. Sometimes the tea lady stops by and we all take a break. The mirrors have been here since we opened. They’ve seen a lot of styles come and go. I try to keep things tidy but you know how it is with hair everywhere. It’s hard to stay perfect when you’re busy. We have a few chairs and they’re comfortable enough. I like the light that comes through the front window in the afternoon. It makes the place look bright. We don’t have any fancy signs or anything. Just the name on the glass. Usually, the radio is playing low in the background so it’s not too quiet. It’s a job I know how to do well. Most of my customers live right nearby so we end up chatting about the local news or what's happening on the road. It’s just a normal shop doing normal work. Nothing too complicated about it. We open early most days and stay until the last person is finished. It’s just how we do things here at 100-A/A.
